Privacy, And Records, And FOI – OH MY!

If you're working in local government and have been hit by the social media tornado, it probably feels a bit like you're not in Kansas - or any other familiar town - anymore. Communications people are grappling with how to integrate these new tools in a strategic way, rather than willy-nilly (that's the technical term). Where have all the leaders gone?

When is the last time you worked with a truly talented leader? I don't mean a senior manager, or someone in authority. I mean a person you wanted to follow. Someone who motivated you. Someone who set a clear direction and then gave you the support you needed to succeed. And then, whoa, maybe even recognized you and gave you credit for the successful project.
